I have a few questions about my upcoming flight.
First, I’m sixteen. I don’t have my learners permit or drivers license, or any other legal identification. What kind of ID will the airlines expect me to provide, if any? And where can I get that ID? And yes, I have someone picking me up and dropping me off and such.
Second, I have piercings. I can take them out for short periods of time, however, without them closing up. Will I have to do that in order to get through screening? Also, would I be allowed to bring on a spare piercing or two? Not a piercing needle, just the piercing itself, in case one already in place breaks.
Thirdly, I don’t want to go through the hassle of a checked bag, so I’m only going to have a carry on. I have a few questions about this.
Are the space saving bags they sell on TV to reduce closet space allowed on flight? I wanted to put my clothes in that and the pack that in the bag to save myself space.
What’s the biggest size suitcase I can bring on the flight?
What’s my laptop considered, and am I allowed to take the charging cord?
I want to bring my digital camera – am I allowed to? Also, am I allowed to take the battery charger? It’s a small box you plug into the wall that you can put your battery in.
Am I allowed to carry my iPod on board with me? Can I bring the wall charger for that too?
Will the screening process affect any of my electronics? And what do I do with my cell phone during the screening process?
I’m pretty sure that’s all the questions, ha. Thank you, and the most important possibly is knowing if the space saving bags are allowed.
Also, would I be able to bring my hair straightener? It’s not really a necessity, but it would be nice to have.
Additionally, I have a few things on board with metal studs (like a hoodie and my bathing suit) – what’s the policy about that?
