Space bags and other vacuum seal storage?

So I’m going to be going to Florida for about a year. I need to take bed sheets, towels, etc. I won’t have enough time or energy upon landing to go buy all the stuff. So I’m wondering if there are any vacuum seal bags/containers that everyone recommends, and if they are safe to take on a plane. They will be going in my checked baggage, not in carry-on bags.

Thanks!

If you feed and shelter the rodents won't you be up to your knees in them?

The first step in getting rid of house mice is to stop feeding them. Mice are in your home because they enjoy the shelter and food it has to offer. So, in order to eliminate the food source, you will have to keep food in sealed containers and clean up your house. Get out the vacuum and suck up all the crumbs on the floor, in the couch, under the furniture, and anywhere else food may have been left. Pet food is another major source of mouse food. Try only feeding the pets what they will eat in a sitting. If they get a little hungry, maybe they will start going after the mice.
In order to keep the mice out of the house, you will have to mouse-proof your home. Mouse-proofing inside your house is a waste of time if they can still get in from the outside. Walk around the exterior of your home looking for holes, cracks, and other possible entry points. Use a combination of steel wool and sealant to keep the mice from getting back in through any holes you find. Don’t forget to look under roof eaves as well. Also, make sure any ventilation covers have holes too small for mice to get through—½ inch or less. Make sure all exterior doors have a tight fit with no empty space underneath. While you’re outside, make sure the garbage bin has a secured lid and that no garbage is laying around for the mice to eat.

How does the sun burn in the vacuum of outer space when fire can't exist in a vacuum?

When I say fire can’t exist in a vacuum, I mean the vacuum that is present when there is an absence of oxygen and atmosphere, such as the vacuum created in sealed containers (such as vacuum packed food jars) when the air is removed for packaging.

Can I store different fruits together?

I bought a food saver, food saver containers and a fruit tray(pineapples, cantaloupe, grapes, and honey dew). I was wanting to save space and combine the fruits and vacuum seal them in a container. Is it ok to mix the fruits together?

Which Foodsaver would be better?

What would be a better investment/solution for freezing food: a Foodsaver vacuum sealer with a nozzle, or the flat one?

I like the idea that the first one can be used with containers, but it only comes with 2, and additional are very expensive. I won’t be freezing any soups or sauces, so the bags might just be enough…
Can anyone share experiences or advice?
Thank you!

Will I encounter any trouble travelling with vitamin supplements to Europe?

I will be flying into London, travelling by tourbus around Europe, and flying out of Paris, for 14 days. I am planning to bring some various vitamins, herbs, and medicines (like valerian root, to sleep on the plane, and Alleve or ibuprofen) in one of those Mon-Tue-Wed pill containers to save space in my bag. Since these are unmarked, has anyone had any problems with airport security (or border patrols?) confiscating them?
It’s not that I’m concerned that what i’m bringing isn’t allowed in Europe, it’s that some of them look like powder in a capsule, and since it’s unmarked, i have no way of verifying what it is….anyway, has anyone actually HAD medicine/hebs/vitamins taken away by international airport security?? that’s all i want to know…

store or build with my legos?

ive got a lot of legos (thousands) from diff sets. i have about 3 options; i can take all of the pieces and put them into temporary containers, i can organize them and put them in to containers, or i can make the original models (to do something with the pieces) and use the extra space to clean the house. my roomate and i are moving out in late nov, early dec, so i dont have that much time left. im partly tempted just to chunk it all into some container to get it out of the way and worry about organizing later, however it would give me something to do to sort it now, or build models, either way getting the pieces out of the way. for storage ideas i was thinking a combination of toolboxes and ziplock bags.
