What is a good space saving way to store clothes?

I need a neat way to store my clothes that doesn’t involve a dresser or plastic bins or vacuum bag things. Im staying in a kinda basement apartment and there’s no closet. Im trying to go for something subtle, simple, and modern. Any sites or ideas would be great :)

besides convenience foods, what are some tips to help me save time in the kitchen?

I would like to know your ideas on preparing or partially preparing foods ahead of time on the weekends so that during the busy work week, all I need to do would be to throw the ingredients together and pop in the oven, heat in the microwave, etc. I have limited freezer space, so preparing a whole meal and storing it in the freezer isn’t really an option. For instance, sometimes I will cook whole chickens on the weekend and cut up the meat and put it in freezer bags, so that I can just add the already cooked meat to a recipe. Anyone have any other tips to share?

What should I do with my room in the attic?

i live with my parents in a 4 bedroom house, so there are a couple of spare rooms – including one in the attic. it is not a typical attic room – no thread bare carpet or piled up boxes, and it’s definitely clean. it has a sink, a couple of bean bags, painted walls and a carpet. my parents have allowed me to have this room as well as my own bed room. i like it as it has more privacy as it’s in the ‘attic’.
i would like to turn it into a place where i can relax and hang out with friends… i was thinking of using it as a place to be creative – draw, make music, ect..
does anyone have any ideas as to how i could make it a nice cosy comfortable space – sort of a 2nd bedroom without a bed – ?
any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.
p.s: it’s not a big room, a small sofa would take up one whole wall. space saving ideas as well..?

Can i take these pills with me in my carry on or should i put them in my luggage?

I’m going on an international flight to Japan and i want to bring some over the counter pills with me.

They are:
-Multivitamin, Vitamin C, Ginko Biloba (all vitamins)
-Caffeine pills
-Sleeping pills
-Tylenol tablets
-Gravol

When i buy them they’re in large bottles, so i always take several pills from each and put it in one small unlabeled pill bottle to save lots of space in my bag.

can i bring/do that?

The real reason why products at the store are not filled to the top (like chip bags.)?

All these people that say products are not filled to the top because it needs air and packaging space, do not believe this because it is bullshit. The real reason is because the companies save money and they all are in cahoots with each other.

Lets say I own a potato chip company and I decide to fill the bag only 75% of the way per bag. My company now saves 25% every time a bag is sold and I am making profit. But wait! What if people start getting pissed off at me and start boycotting my chips? Well well, I just take a little stroll over to the other chip companies and tell them to do the same, that way, everyone is screwed either way. And to top it off, the companies create a bunch of excuses to avoid getting sued. That way, no lawyer on the planet is going to convince the judge since every company on the planet does the same thing.

Its the same damn thing as to how all apartments in California cost over a thousand dollars a month. All these companies that are making money work with each other. They sit down at tables with big cigars in their mouths and then if everyone does the same pattern, they win, not us. The only way to fight this would be to boycott all chips, but who’s going to do that?
Jack: Don’t be an idiot. You seriously think a potato chip bag needs to be 50% full in order to protect it from being crushed?

What's a good way to store old baby clothes?

I’m wondering if anyone has a good way to store old baby clothes. I have a 2 year old daughter and one on the way, and I have most of my 2 year old’s clothes in a big plastic bin. I just have so much clothes for them!! I don’t know what to do with it all. I looked up Space Bags but they have horrible reviews. I am planning on saving my youngest’s baby clothes "just in case" and I’d like something waterproof and easy to store. Not too bulky. Space Bags seemed perfect and I’m disappointed that for most people they don’t work well :(
I’m getting sick of having to buy the big plastic bins but I guess I’ll have to keep doing that unless anyone has better ideas? I don’t want to throw them in a garbage bag because I can’t really stack those and they don’t close all the way.

Should potato chip bags be reduced in size?

Self explanatory. Could be potato chip OR any type of food held in bags.

I’ll use the potato chip example. It kind of stinks to have pumped up bag of chips with only a few pieces of chips. Is all that empty space needed? I’m serious. If all that vacuum is totally necessary and essential, then please do skip the bottom and help me understand why it is needed.

A reduction in its size would help:
- less pollution
- help companies saves some money by less sizable bags
- they can’t fool the quantity of the food by adding some air

True they need big bags for commercial means but they should put their differences aside and focus on the good of the environment. It is a win-win-win situation for buyer, seller, and nature in a way if you think about it.

Which is more worth saving up for?

I’ve been saving up a lot of my money over the past few months for something I "need". I’ve been looking for a small wristlet bag because the bag I use everyday is a little too big for going to the grocery store or just down the road. I’ve also been looking for a pair of sunglasses since the sun manages to always get in my face while I’m driving and my eyes are very sensitive to the sunlight.

Recently I saw this wristlet that I really like: http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=12599&category_id=1951 (lilac)

And these pair of shades as well: http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=12680&category_id=121 (olive)

I was wondering which would be more worth getting? I normally don’t spend this much money on things, but I noticed the more expensive things I buy are, the longer I will use them.

I need a wristlet cuz a big bag just takes up space for me, and since I’m a small person a wristlet like that looks good for me. It’s tiny and I can watch it better and it still holds all my stuff.

On the other hand, I do need a pair of shades because it’s difficult and dangerous when I drive with the sun in my eyes. But then again, I’m also near-sighted, so I might have to get prescription UV lends for the frames which will cost more. And I normally don’t wear sunglasses since I’d have to take off my regular glasses anyway.

Buying brand name $hit seems overrated and useless, but if its something I can make good use of and is of good quality, I don’t mind spending the extra bucks.

Which is more worth it?
